The Faculty of Engineering is located outside Minia University's campus in the city of Minya, which is in the north of upper Egypt. The Faculty of Engineering, Minia University, began as the Higher Industrial Institute in 1975, it was altered by a decision of the Prime Minister into the Faculty of Engineering in 1975 after it was annexed to Assiut University, and then it joined Minia University following its founding in 1976. The faculty consists of 9 departments and two accredited special programs that grant bachelor's, diplomas, master’s, and doctoral degrees. It holds academic accreditation from the National Authority for Education Quality Assurance and Accreditation. The college seeks to be a high-quality educational and research institution that is distinguished by providing community services for the development and renovation of the community. Minia University's Faculty of Engineering is committed to providing educational programmes that meet national standards in order to prepare a prominent graduate capable of competing in labour markets locally, regionally, and globally. It is also obligated to encourage and develop scientific research to be of service to technological development and society.
